I have been teaching since 1984.  Yikes!  I've taught in California, China, and State College.

I have two daughters in their 20s, and a husband, Michael Goldfine, who teaches English at SCAHS.  I grew up mostly in State College, but left after I graduated from Penn State for California, to work for the National Park Service at Pt Reyes National Seashore, then for Yosemite Institute as a Field Instructor.  I got my teaching credential at UC Berkeley, and my Masters in Elementary Ed from Penn State.  I taught 3rd grade for two years in Monterey, CA, and then moved to Changchun, China to teach English as a Foreign Language. Then I came back to State College and started teaching here (Kindergarten, 5th and 6th grade ever since!)

Now I like to read, hike, birdwatch, practice mindfulness, hang out with my family and friends, and travel.  I've been ALL over North America (49 American and four Mexican states, 8 Canadian provinces) and China; and visited Thailand, Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Morocco and The Soviet Union.  But my biggest adventures are always in Room 203 with my students, whom I happen to think are way more fun than most adults. (Sorry parents.)
