Meet Miss GlassMy name is Jamie Glass and I am what you may call a "townie" having grown up here in State College. I attended Ferguson Township Elementary School, Mount Nittany Middle School, and State College Area High School. Since I LOVE Happy Valley so much, I decided to pursue my teaching degree at Penn State University. I graduated in May of 2016 with a B.S. in Childhood & Early Adolescent Education, minors in Special Education and Deafness & Hearing Studies, as well as half of my coursework completed towards a Reading Specialist Master’s Degree.I began my teaching career two years ago as a PDS intern in second grade here at Park Forest Elementary School. Although I absolutely loved my time downstairs in primary, I was extremely excited to make the move upstairs last school year to experience fourth grade with the Room 220 Penguins. Let me tell you, I truly had the most amazing year with some of the most amazing kiddos you will ever meet! I am now beyond thrilled to be a fifth grade teacher at PFE because I get to continue learning and growing with all of the fantastic students I got to know and love so much last year from all four classes. In my free time, I enjoy reading, staying active, solving puzzles, and spending time with my family, friends, and golden retriever, Bo. I am also a HUGE sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Pirates (GO BUCS!) and the Nittany Lion Football & Wrestling Teams (WE ARE!).This is a picture of me and my family's dog, Bo, in front of Old Main on Penn State's campus. This is a picture of me, my mom, and my older brother cheering on the Pittsburgh Priates at PNC Park. My absolute favorite player is second baseman Josh Harrison, affectionately known as "J-Hay". LET'S GO BUCS!This is a picture of me and my good friend Miss Severson, who is a second grade teacher in Florida, at a Penn State football game. WE ARE!
