Every summer, the U.S. Department of Education launches a call to action called #ReadWhereYouAre (follow this link for more information: http://www2.ed.gov/readwhereyouare/index.html). Families are encouraged to keep reading over the summer, even during vacations and trips. Reading takes us to many far-away places, but we can always sit and read wherever we are!
Even though summer is coming to a close, I still encourage students to read in strange places throughout the year! Get caught "reading where you are" this year, and e-mail me a picture! I would love to showcase where books take readers in room 183! This summer I was caught reading to the Nittany Lion: he was excited to see the illustrations!
