Meet Mrs. PiazzaWelcome to Room 183! I can’t wait to meet all of our new second graders!
I’ve been working at Park Forest Elementary for ten years now. I love supporting Miss Ollendyke and feel lucky to work with such a terrific teacher. Park Forest Elementary is a warm, loving school, and Room 183 a warm, loving classroom, one of my favorite places to be.
I’ve lived in State College since 1998 and have raised two sons here. One is a sophomore at Penn State, and the other is just starting graduate school in Boston. My husband teaches biomechanics at Penn State. We have two black cats, Oscar and Lucy, who make all kinds of mischief, keeping us on our toes, but who are also cuddly and cute.
This summer we stayed at home and enjoyed making improvements to our deck, installing a rain barrel, and tending to our vegetable garden and flowers. I took a quick trip to Woodstock, NY to spend time with my brother.
Behind the mask I like to read, write, take photographs, and walk or hike. I especially love to walk at the Arboretum, Tudek Park, Shingletown Gap, and Musser Gap!
We are going to have such a wonderful year together — whether we are masked inside or unmasked outside, whether we are in school or remote — because it is all about who we are, not where we are or how we look!
See you soon!
