    Chris Rosenblum

    Chris has been the district’s Director of Communications since January 2015. An award-winning journalist for 25 years, he oversees the district’s media relations and public communications efforts, helping to tell the stories of our students, teachers and staff members and to fulfill the district administration’s responsibility to be open and responsive with the community. He also supervises the website and social media coordinator.

    • Sportswriter, Centre Daily Times, 1995-1998
    • Adjunct journalism instructor, Penn State College of Communications, 2005-2012
    • English language teacher, Osaka Board of Education, Osaka, Japan, 1989-1991

    Leadership experiences:

    Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association board member, 2015-present; C-NET board member, 2016-present.

    A.B., East Asian History, Magna Cum Laude, Brown University, 1989

    Chris and his wife, Michele, have two sons, one a current Delta Program student and the other, a recent graduate. Having grown up near Boston, MA, and outside Charlottesville, VA, he remains a lifelong Boston sports fan, particularly of the Red Sox. In his spare time, he enjoys adding to his record collection, playing blues guitar, reading history and noir mysteries, writing, helping his wife garden and spending time with his family. He also has done more than 20 scuba dives with his older son. Outside of his job and family, he lives for pie.

    Nabil K. Mark
    Nabil joins the District after working as a Senior Photographer and Multimedia Specialist for the Centre Daily Times. He brings unique vision and foresight for design to the communications department.

    Nabil's wife Kelly is the K-12 Assistant Principal for the Penns Valley Area School District and they live in State College with their four daughters.
