• Meet Mrs. Lawrence!


         Welcome to Room 23!  I am so happy to work with you this year.  We are going to discover many new and exciting things as we grow and learn together.  I want to introduce myself to you and I look forward to learning more about you also!

         I am originally from the Pittsburgh area and I came to Penn State in 1998 to study Elementary Education.  During my senior year at Penn State, I was a PDS intern in the State College Area School District.  After I graduated in 2002, I started teaching first grade at Gray's Woods Elementary.  I have taught first grade ever since and I love it!!

         I have two daughters, Lilly and Olivia.   Lilly is 13 and will start eighth grade in the fall and Olivia is 11 and she is starting sixth grade this year.  Both Lilly and Olivia are named after storybook characters.  Can you think of any storybook characters with the names Lilly and Olivia?  I also have one son, named Jack.  Jack will turn 8 at the end of September and he will start second grade at Gray's Woods.  
     
       In my free time, I love to spend time with Mr. Lawrence and our children.   I enjoy watching my girls dance and watching Jack play hockey and baseball.  I can't wait to learn more about what you like to do in your free time!
