AP Physics C
AP Physics C is a rigorous, calculus based introduction to Mechanics and Electromagnetism. Students are encouraged to take calculus prior to taking the AP Physics C, but it can be taken concurrently. It is intended as a second year physics course, but can be taken as a first year course if the established prerequisites are met. Students will be required to utilize fundamental concepts to solve mathematically and conceptually challenging physics problems with an emphasis on analysis, application, and synthesis of main ideas. This course is comparable to Physics 211 and 212 at Penn state University and helps prepare students for the AP Physics C exams. Student success is predicated on devoting out of class time to homework and independent study.
