Building Construction Technology prepares students for postsecondary technical training and or entry-level employment in residential and light commercial construction. Students may also be considering a traditional Associates or Bachelors degree program in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering related study. Students are introduced to a wide range of residential and light commercial trade areas and gain hands on experience working on projects in the lab. The state of the art lab is stocked with the most current tools and materials to give students the real experience they can expect out on a construction site. Enhancing their learning experience through student membership in the National Association of Home Builders, students participate in competitions, professional networks, conferences, industry exhibits and service learning projects.
