Thank you for taking the time to visit this site.  I am returning to Radio Park again this year in my seventh year as a Title I teacher. Each year I look forward to sharing my love of books and joy of reading with all of the students I work with each day! Sharing books and watching children grow as readers is truly magical and I am grateful to play a role in these experiences on a daily basis.  My hope as your child's reading teacher, is to not only teach reading, but to instill a love of books and reading.

I began my teaching career in 2004 in Southern Florida (Southwest Ranches near Ft. Lauderdale).  There, I taught third-grade for two hurricane packed years! It was an experience that I will forever cherish.  I returned to State College in 2006 and began teaching fifth-grade at Gray's Woods Elementary School.  After much of my coursework for my Master's degree was completed, I transferred to second grade to begin the application of my new knowledge of teaching reading to early readers. After completing my masters degree, I joined the Title I staff to focus my teaching soley on the development of reading.

I am originally from the State College area.  I attended elementary school at Lemont and Houserville schools (now Spring Creek Elementary), and graduated from State College High in 2000.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two children, Robby (7) and Grace (5), exploring the outdoors, and, of course, reading.
