Hello! My name is Mrs. Pam Rodgers, and I am excited to be your third grade teacher this year. This is my fifteenth year of teaching. I've taught kindergarten and fifth grade at Easterly Parkway, and this year I will be teaching third grade. I am looking forward to having another wonderful year.
I grew up in Muncy, PA and went to college at Indiana University of PA (IUP). In 1990 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and in 1995 I earned my Master of Health Education from Penn State. I taught second grade in the East Pennsboro School District for eight years before we relocated to State College. I have worked in the College of Education at Penn State, supervising elementary education majors during their pre-service and student teaching experiences, and I have worked as a Parent Educator at the Youth Service Bureau.
I live in State College with my husband, Bryan, and we have three sons. Our oldest son, Matthew, graduated from Penn State, and our younger two sons both attend and play soccer at Penn State, Harrisburg. Marc is a senior, and Josh is a sophomore. When I'm not at school or attending my boys' soccer games, I enjoy working out, running, cycling, reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
