Hello! My name is Mrs. Pam Rodgers, and I am fortunate to be your kindergarten teacher this year. This is my thirteenth year of teaching. I've taught fifth grade at Easterly Parkway for two and a half years, and this will be my third year teaching kindergarten at EP. I love the energy and enthusiasm that kindergarten children bring with them each day and am looking forward to having another wonderful year.
I grew up in Muncy, PA and went to college at Indiana University of PA (IUP). In 1990 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and in 1995 I earned my Master of Heath Education from Penn State. I taught second grade in the East Pennsboro School District for eight years before we relocated to State College. Since that time, I have worked in the College of Education at Penn State, supervising elementary education majors during their pre-service and student teaching experiences, and I have worked as a Parent Educator at the Youth Service Bureau.
I live in State College with my husband, Bryan, and we have three boys. Matthew recently graduated from Penn State and has flown the nest. Marc is a sophomore at Penn State, and our youngest son, Josh, is a senior at State High. We also have a chocolate labrador retriever named Lexi. When I'm not at school or attending one of my boys' soccer games, I enjoy working out, reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
