Hello! My name is Mrs. Pam Rodgers, and I am fortunate to be your kindergarten teacher this year. This is my fourteenth year of teaching. I've taught fifth grade at Easterly Parkway, and this will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten at EP. I love the energy and enthusiasm that kindergarten children bring with them each day and am looking forward to having another wonderful year.
I grew up in Muncy, PA and went to college at Indiana University of PA (IUP). In 1990 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and in 1995 I earned my Master of Health Education from Penn State. I taught second grade in the East Pennsboro School District for eight years before we relocated to State College. Since that time, I have worked in the College of Education at Penn State, supervising elementary education majors during their pre-service and student teaching experiences, and I have worked as a Parent Educator at the Youth Service Bureau.
I live in State College with my husband, Bryan, and we have three sons. Our oldest son, Matthew, graduated from Penn State, and our younger two sons both attend and play soccer at Penn State, Harrisburg. Marc is a junior, and Josh is a freshman. We also have a chocolate labrador retriever named Lexi. When I'm not at school or attending one of my boys' soccer games, I enjoy working out, reading, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
