• BAKING 101

    This course is designed as an introduction to baking.  No previous baking experience is needed; simply a sincere interest in learning to bake is required.  Emphasis is placed on understanding how ingredients function and how proportion of ingredients and mixing techniques affect the finished product.

    Each week of the semester we will be preparing one or more baked products.  There will also be weekly teacher (with student participation) demonstrations highlighting different techniques the science of baking involves.
