Hello! This is my 16th year teaching 5th grade at PFE! 5th grade is my favorite, and I'm excited to spend this school year with you! I live in Zion, PA (just outside of Bellefonte) with my husband (Shannon), our four children (Kaycee-20, TJ-18, Genevieve-12, and Kathryn-9), and our little dog named Bentley. We love to spend time together at the beach, at our house, playing outside, and with family and friends. We love to explore and find new and wonderful places! We will try almost anything once and love adventure. We all love to read! My husband builds custom electric guitars and does string instrument repair in a little store in State College.

Before becoming a teacher, I spent eight years in sales and marketing. My sales career was followed by four years at The Pennsylvania State University in the Elementary Education program. In May 2018, I graduated with my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and am currently earning my Ph.D. in Science Education at PSU.  I LOVE teaching and learning and never feel like what I do is work!  I believe that the relationship between the teacher and families is a partnership in which we will work together toward one common goal...the academic and personal success and growth of the children.
