• school My name is Gretchen Fetterolf. I was born and raised in the Boalsburg area and attended the State College Area School District for all my K-12 schooling. Shortly after high school I married my husband Mark, who is also from the State College Area. I spent a few years managing three local clothing stores and started college with a major in Marketing. We moved to North Carolina for a short time while my husband finished his tour with the United States Marine Corps. Our large families made it an easy choice to return and live in Happy Valley. Upon returning to State College, I attended Penn State University and received a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating I accepted a position with a neighboring school district and over seventeen years taught K through 4th grade. The past eleven years I have worked at Houserville/Spring Creek Elementary teaching third and fifth grade.  Currently, I live in Houserville with my son and husband. I love to spend time with my family, listen to music, visit the beach, take long walks, entertain, and eat ice cream! I believe learning should be ongoing and fun! I am looking forward to continue my passion of teaching as the Instructional Support Teacher at Easterly Parkway. My main goal is to help children be successful and discover how they learn best.
