Welcome to ELD! I’m Ms. Colavecchi and I am thrilled to be spending my third year at Easterly Parkway as one of the English as a Second Language Teachers! In ELD, you will be a part of a caring, safe, and welcoming community that promotes natural second language acquisition. All languages and cultures are celebrated. All are welcome! I am looking forward to learning about you and what makes you unique.
Here’s some information about me!
I grew up right over the mountain in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and always enjoyed visiting Penn State! I have an older sister, who teaches at Gray’s Woods Elementary, and a younger brother. I now live in State College with my sweet black cat named Bellatrix Lestrange! I enjoy hiking, painting, and trying new foods.
I graduated from Penn State in 2018 with a degree in Early Childhood Education with an ESL Teaching Certificate. During my senior year of college I was a PDS intern at Corl Street Elementary. I spent two of my summers living and teaching abroad in Ecuador. I aspire to continue traveling and learning about our world.
