Mrs. Rebecca Dougherty

Welcome to 6th grade!  I am so excited to be your teacher this year!  This is my fifth year of teaching here at Park Forest Middle School, and I have been teaching for a total of 17 years!  I began my teaching career in 2005 working as a substitute teacher for the Bellwood-Antis School District, and I spent 12 years at the Moshannon Valley School District.  While at Mo Valley, I taught first grade for six years and 6th grade for six years.    

I am a 2001 Graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School, and I received my B.S. in Education from Susquehanna University in 2005.  In 2010, I earned a M.S. in Elementary Math and Reading from Walden University.

I make my home in Bellwood with my husband, Scott, my son, Ryder, and our two cats, Allie and Abbie.  I enjoy reading and singing in my spare time.  Some of my favorite YA books include the Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling, The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, and The Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth.  I also enjoy listening to audiobooks!

This is my husband, son, and me at ZooTampa.  I love elephants, and I was so excited to see them!
