Chad is entering his 17th year as a volleyball coach. During his 12 years as the head coach of the State High girls' team, the team's record is 196-29 with 11 district titles and 6 Mid Penn titles. In that span, he has had the honor of coaching a number of girls who have gone on to play at the collegiate level, some of which have been all-state, all-district, and all-conference players.
His club experiences in various capacities have included time with Lion’s Pride, NVJ, Revolution, Affinity, and Relentless as an assistant and head coach, as well as Associate Club Director for Relentless. He also has been a head coach at the high school level for the last 15 years. Chad’s experiences have also included presenting at clinics for the PVCA and coaching PSU camps.
In addition to coaching at the high school level in the State College Area School District, Chad is also a Health/PE teacher at Park Forest Middle School. Chad has been involved with volleyball, whether playing or coaching, for the last 30 years.
email: [email protected]With 20 years of coaching experience, Larry brings a wealth of knowledge to the State College Area Boys Volleyball team. He is also currently the head coach of the Bald Eagle Area girls volleyball team, leading them to an overall record of 301-74, one PIAA-AA state title, four District VI titles, and seven Mountain League titles since 2007.Larry started his volleyball career as an All-State high school player at Pennsbury High School and played briefly with the AVP Minor Tour during college. Since then, he’s had the opportunity to interact with and learn from some of the most talented players and coaches in Central Pennsylvania through coaching and also directing both Lions Pride Volleyball Club and currently Affinity Volleyball Club.His main goals are to create a sense of fun and excitement about the sport of volleyball and to teach his players life lessons beyond the sport. He takes immense pride in guiding his players to make good decisions not only on the volleyball court but in every aspect of their lives.
Tara Neidighemail: [email protected]Tara is in her second season as an assistant coach with the State College Girls Volleyball team after graduating in Spring 2019 from Juniata College. Most recently Tara competed for 2 seasons at Juniata College. Previously she played for State College High School with 3 of those seasons at the Varsity level as a DS/Libero for the D6 Champions and 2-time Mid Penn Commonwealth Conference Champions. As a senior Tara was named to the All-District 6 and Mid-Penn Commonwealth Conference All Star teams and the Pennlive.com Big 15 2nd team.
