SCASD Social Workers have developed two forms to better help SCASD families. One to address family needs, Social Work Family Needs Assessment, and another to collect information for those wanting to donate and volunteer, Community Support Volunteer.

The SCASD Social Workers have also created a COVID-19 Resource List and a Social Work Community Resource List that both provide a list of services in the area during this time.

    Home and School Visitor -

Mrs. Cindy Sergeon-Smith joined the district in 2015 as the Home and School Visitor. Prior to coming to SCASD she spent 9 years providing direct in-home services to at-risk families and foster care students, as well as 9 years as an elementary school counselor.

Cindy obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Glenville State College in WV and later went on to receive her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Marshall University in WV.

Cindy is compassionate about helping others to achieve their personal and family goals.  Beyond her professional experience Cindy values spending time with her husband and 3 children and loves to visit the beautiful “wild and wonderful” WV hills.
