Mrs Pagnotto & her Golden Gang

Welcome to my webpage!  As I begin my 13th year as a Kindergarten educator in the SCASD.   I feel blessed to be a part of such a progressive and responsive school district.  Having relocated several times in Pennsylvania, before making Happy Valley home, I had the opportunity to teach students from Pre-K age through 8th grade, in a variety of communities and settings. Working with these diverse populations, prior to settling into the Kindergarten world here in SCASD, helped me develop into a more well-rounded person, as well as a more  well-rounded educator.  My passion for inspiring the young to explore, engage and collaborate makes teaching Kindergartners a daily adventure.

Having earned a dual degree in Elem Ed/Library Science from Lock Haven University, I continue to work on graduate classes through Penn State University with a focus on classroom management strategies, the responsive classroom environment, inclusive classroom needs, the Service Learning model and the Inquiry Process for Teaching & Learning.  (Oh, and of course, Literacy in the 21st Century - I love books, especially Children's Literature!!!)

When I am not working at school or taking graduate classes, I can be found spending time with my family: husband, John and two children, Christa & Mike.  A May 2013 graduate in Elementary Education, Christa is currently working on her Masters in Special Education.  Mike, a PSU Junior in Health Admin & Policy, coaches basketball at MNMS & landscapes with his grandfather, during the summer months.   We all enjoy watching sports (esp. Penn State football...Go State!), vacationing with family in Hilton Head Island, visiting Disney World,  going to the beach, reading all kinds of books and playing with our 4-legged family members:
Golden Retrievers, Sunny, Mo and Cubbie.
