• Welcome, my name is Courtney Morrison and I have been a health and physical education teacher since 2007. I spent over 10 years teaching in Atlanta, Georgia but I am happy to be back home in State College, PA where I grew up. Health and PE have been a passion of mine since I was a student at the State College Area High School. My teachers not only motivated me to be an active member within the community but instilled a love of wellness that has led me to teach the subjects I do today. At Park Forest Middle School I teach both 6th and 8th grade physical education and have 7th grade for health education. I enjoy teaching all the grades for middle school and getting to know every student that steps into my class.

I graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Physical Education and a minor in coaching. While at Slippery Rock I was also a member of the softball team and played all 4 years. Then in 2013 I earned a Master's of Science Degree from the University of West Virginia for Health Education. Since then I have attended conferences, webinars, and professional development opportunities to continue professional growth within my field.

Currently I am a varsity assistant coach for the softball team at State High and enjoy being back on the field.

Outside of teaching I love spending time with my family. We are very active and love to hike, bike, walk, run, swim and more. Please don’t be afraid to say hi if we pass you on a trail!

I am looking forward to this school year and positively impacting my students in all classes.
