Let's make this Read-A-Thon our most successful FUNdraiser ever!
    November 23, 2020 - January 8, 2021

    Here's how it works:

*** Raise any amount - Ths student will earn a Spring Creek Elementary bracelet.

*** Raise $50-$75 - The student will earn the bracelet in addition to a chance for one of 100 prizes valued at $10 each for the 2021 Book Fair!

*** Raise $75 or more - The student will earn the bracelet, the $10 prize chance and a Spring Creek Elementary facemask.  They will also be automatically enetered into a drawing to win additional prizes from our grab bag!

The grand prize for the top earner in each grade will receive a Kindle Fire!

If we raise $15,000 as a whole school, each child will receive a goody bag of prizes!

Top class participation - with Virtual Academy serving as a "class" (based on percentage of students who turn in donations in any amount) - will receive a pre-packaged snack party (snacks will be sent home for remote and virtual learners)!

    * If there is a tie among classes, the class with more money raised will earn the party.

Please email Susan Young (smyoung1011@yahoo.com) with any questions.  Good luck!

    Dear Fundraising Supporters,

Hello and welcome to the Spring Creek Elementary School Read A Thon sponsored by the PTO! We are extremely excited to offer a new and innovative approach to community fundraising that combines our love for reading while teaching the importance of giving back.

As you know, because of Covid, we were not able to have our Annual Fun Run this fall. Unfortunately, the Fun Run is our primary way to raise money that supports our school’s community programs, classroom activities, materials for teachers, field trips, and support for our teachers and staff.

Though it may seem like we would have less expenses this year with no field trips being planned, the truth is, we have different expenses. We already have purchased lanyards for facemasks, cushions for kids to sit on so they can learn outside or sit on the floor or at their desk space in socially distanced ways, cleaning materials, extra water for those who forget their bottles at home, and much more. We estimate an average of $50-$75 still being spent per student. This means we needed to get creative and try new ways to raise money so that we can stay on budget and still provide students and the school with all the things needed for a successful year!

With this in mind, the PTO is excited to announce a partnership to provide a digital reading challenge to our community called, Read for My School. Fast to setup and easy to use across any mobile device, Read for My School provides parents and students a fun and engaging way to share their love of reading while understanding the importance of giving back to our school.

Through your community support, we would like your children to challenge themselves in reading and track their progress on the Read for My School web app (with parents help, of course!). We would also love parents to share our reading challenge as well as their child’s reading achievements with friends and family to generate pledge donation support. With Read for My School, sharing with love ones is as simple as 1, 2, 3!

You and your child will soon be receiving an email with an invitation to join our reading challenge which will take place starting the week of Thanksgiving and will run until January 8, 2021. Just click on the invitation link and follow the steps to get your reader/s registered to their team and ready when our reading challenge starts.

We are extremely excited to share this opportunity and look forward to working with you in support of your PTO community’s commitment to raising funds to promote new school programs.
