My name is Kathy Gee, and I’m excited to be teaching AP Physics 1+ and Sights, Sounds Circuits. I moved to the State College area in 2009, but I am originally from Michigan. I came to teaching in a roundabout way beginning with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
After earning my BS, I started my Master's degree program in Engineering. At the same time, I began working with high school students who attended the university’s summer STEM camps and quickly realized that I was pursuing the wrong career! I changed degree programs and universities earning an MA in Secondary Education from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!!)
After four years of teaching Physics, AP Physics, and Physical Science in an urban school near Detroit, my husband and I moved to central Pennsylvania in 2009. I taught Physics and Engineering courses at Bald Eagle Area Middle and High School for 11 years before accepting my current position.
