I am a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B. S. in Elementary Education, a M. Ed. in Teaching and Curriculum, and the Principal Education Leadership program. I hold current certificates in Elementary Education, Instructional Technology Specialist and K-12 Principal. I've been involved with public education for nearly 40 years.
After teaching in Texas and Maryland (Howard County Public Schools), I returned to Pennsylvania. I moved from the classroom to coordinate elementary technology and then onto the Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 to lead instructional technology for the 25 school districts of York, Adams and Franklin Counties. In addition I taught graduate courses focused on instructional technlogy for both Penn State York and McDaniel College (Westminster, MD). I assisted the Assistant Superintendent at Dallastown Area School District before taking a new position of Director of Instructional Technology and Data at South Western Area School District.
My husband's career brought us to Centre County, where I was hired as an Instructional Designer for the business portfolio of the World Campus at Penn State. When an opportunity to work again with students and teachers arose at Mount Nittany Middle School as the Instructional Technology Coach, I eagerly took the position. After 3 years, I made the decision to retire when my husband's job took us to the Philadelphia area. When we returned to State College March of 2020, I once again eagerly accepted the position to come out of retirement to be one of the two Instructional Technology Coaches at State College Area High School and am loving it!
I met my husband at Penn State and we've been married for 38 years. We have two grown children with wonderful spouses and one beautiful grandson. We enjoy spending time with them and our extended families. We love working on improving our home, from tiling to gardening. I also love almost any craft and hunting for antique treasures!
