Hello! My name is Hannah Shumsky, and I moved to State College in 2021 after spending my entire life in the greater Pittsburgh region. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Secondary English Education from Slippery Rock University in 2021. This is my second year at State College Area School District. 

Prior to joining State High’s faculty, I was also a student journalist for all four years of college. I am an award-winning writer, video editor, and designer, and I look forward to talking more about my experiences with you. 

Outside of school, I enjoy virtual game nights with my long-distance friends, reading, crocheting, and cooking (even though I'll never be as talented as my younger sister who graduated from culinary school). I reside in the State College area with my fiancé who works at a local television station.
