• World History I, the first course in a required two-year program, strives to provide students with the skills and knowledge of our global history through the examination and interpretation of historical events in a way that can be applied to other life examples and situations. The class curriculum and content focuses on building geography skills, expanding cultural awareness, reviewing the hallmarks of civilization, and examining the study of global history and humanity from the birth of the world religions through the Age of Exploration. Students will participate in a variety of inquiry-based learning activities that focus on, but are not necessarily limited to primary source document analysis, evidence based response to questions, basic research and expository writing skills, large and small group activities, projects, discussions and presentations.
