First of all, we want to say congratulations. There were so many of you and you all did it! Just completing this step of auditioning is a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud of yourselves.
Second, thank you for being so patient with us during auditions. We had so many more of you audition than we anticipated, which is awesome, but also put us very behind. We really wanted to be sure we were thorough and gave everyone a fair shot but that meant we got really behind schedule.
Parents/Guardians, we really apologize and want to stress that this will be the ONLY time that will happen. As parents ourselves, we understand the frustration when things run late and we make it a point to make sure rehearsals end on time to respect you, your schedules and your time. Unfortunately, with auditions, that isn’t always possible and so once again we just want to apologize for running late and thank you for your patience.
Now for some other news. We are NOT going to be holding callbacks. We felt that we saw everything we needed to see during auditions and are going to use that time to buckle down and finish the casting. Remember, the cast list will be posted to the drama club page some time this weekend. We will let you know via email and social media when it is posted so you don’t need to sit on your computer and refresh the page all weekend! This is a VERY complicated process as we factor in auditions, conflicts, availability etc when putting the puzzle of the cast together.
Please remember, everyone in the cast will be guaranteed three scenes and will be involved in at least two songs. We really strive to make sure this is a valuable experience for you!
So, congratulations, take a minute to reflect on that accomplishment, auditioning can be very scary and stressful, but it’s over! Now for the fun part, making the magic and building a practically perfect show!!
