    Board of Directors Elects New President

    On Jan. 11, 2023, the Board of Directors unanimously elected Jackie Huff to be the new board president following the resignation of former president Amber Concepcion from the Board. Huff, who joined the Board in 2021, was the sole nomination.

    United States Senate Youth Program Delegate

    State High junior Claire Chi, currently a Pa. State Board of Education student representative helping address education issues, recently was chosen as one of two Pa. delegates to the prestigious United States Senate Youth Program.

    Barbie Takes the Fall

    State High students in the IB higher level Applications and Interpretations class recently worked on a project titled “Barbie Bungee.” The assignment required three teams each to calculate how many rubber bands Barbie would need for a cord to safely plunge 18 feet.

    Inside the World Café

    The State High World Café brings together English language learner students with native speaker peers for weekly lunchtime gatherings aimed at breaking down barriers and building connections.

    Ryan Walsh Named HS Assistant Principal

    “I am excited to continue with the administration team at State High and am looking forward to more opportunities to serve as an advocate for students, families and staff,” he said. “The ability to provide support and leadership to the high school community is extremely inspiring and humbling.”
