Mrs. Peachey

I am so honored to be a part of the PFE Penguin Team.  I have had the joy of teaching in 4 of SCASD’s elementary schools and one of its middle schools over the last 23 years. After traversing elementary school with a learning disability myself and knowing how important elementary years are in creating a positive attitude about learning, I have a passion for helping students who need an additional dose of intervention.  As the MTSS interventionist at PFE, I provide supplementary instruction in math to small groups of students, either as part of their math lesson in the classroom or in my classroom.  It is so fun to be a part of children's worlds when they conquer new skills and deepen their understanding of how numbers work.

My family and I moved to State College in the late 90’s because we loved the area and wanted to live closer to each other.  My children, now 21 and 18, grew up in the SCASD community, so I know first hand from a parent’s perspective just how special SCASD is.   I also have two step-children, three dogs, and an amazing husband.  If I'm not at school, you can find me hiking, gardening, swimming, kayaking, traveling, or playing games and having fun with my family and friends.
