I am so happy to be back at Gray's Woods for another year! I taught second grade here back in the spring of 2015. I then went and taught fourth grade and second grade for a few years at Cumberland Valley in my hometown of Mechanicsburg, PA. Following that, I decided to go on an adventure and moved to Denver, Colorado. There, I taught in early childhood and worked on my doctorate. I missed Pennsylvania so I took a job teaching fifth grade at Ferguson Township Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year. After that I changed things up and taught first grade, also at FTE. Finally, I returned to Gray's Woods last year and taught fifth grade.

I graduated in 2014 with my bachelors in Childhood and Early Adolescent Education from the great Penn State University. I am certified to teach grades Pre-K-4 and grades 4-8 in math. In 2017 I received my masters in Curriculum and Supervision, also from Penn State. While in Denver I completed one year of my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Denver. I'm hoping to get back into it in the next few years!

I am very close to my family and I try to see them as much as I can! My mom still lives in my hometown and I have an older brother who lives in Philadelphia with my sister-in-law and their two kids. I have an unbelievably adorable nephew named Macallan who is about a year and a half old and a brand new niece who is a month old! I am obsessed with Harry Potter and have read each of the books at least six times. I love to read other books besides Harry Potter too! I spend my fall weekends watching Penn State and Eagles football. I'm lucky enough to be able to return to Denver every summer for a few weeks to see friends and go on hikes to enjoy the incredible nature Colorado has to offer.

I am looking forward to a great year!
