• Physics 1 - 

    This course is designed for the student who desires a basic understanding of the fundamentals that govern our universe. Physics 1 is an algebra-based introduction to a broad range of topics: linear kinematics, dynamics, momentum, energy, wave theory, and electricity. Student involvement in discussions and laboratory activities is emphasized. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are stressed. Evaluation is based upon tests, quizzes, laboratory reports, activities, and homework.
     
    Prerequisites
    Successful completion of two science courses (i.e. Earth Systems Science 1 or Advanced Earth Systems Science 1; Biology 1 or Advanced Biology 1; Chemistry 1 or Advanced Chemistry 1; Environmental Science.  Concurrent enrollment in CP Algebra 2, Precalculus, or AP Calculus.
