About Mrs. UpcraftMy FamilyMy family and I live in Spring Mills. I live with my husband John, son Clayton , daughter Cammie, and our dog Genny. John is an instructor at the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
My free time is spent reading, playing and creating things with my family. Each summer, we look forward to spending time in our cabin in Maine. While there, we spend most of the time at the cabin playing in the lake.
I graduated from State College Area High School in 1988 and immediately began college at Penn State University. While attending Penn State, I had the wonderful opportunity to student teach in England. While there, I was able to do some traveling and just enjoy the English culture! In 1992, I graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I spent the following year as an assistant teacher at the State College Friend's School. In 1993, I began teaching here at Panorama. Since being here, I have had the opportunity to teach first, second and third grade. Currently, I am teaching kindergarten and loving it! In August of 2003, I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on math from Penn State.
One of my favorite things about teaching at Mount Nittany Elementary is being part of the Boalsburg community. The support and love for the children in this community is wonderful!
