• "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
     Eleanor Roosevelt

I  have been in education  for more than  25 years. This will actually be my 37th year teaching.  I  was a classroom teacher for 22 years. For 5 years I worked as  the 6th grade Curriculum Support/ Instructional Support teacher at Park Forest Middle School. In addition,  I was the Instructional Support Teacher for the 6th grade at both middle schools for two years. This will be my 8th year teaching ESL at Mount Nittany Elementary. I love the staff and students at MNE. It is a great place to be!!
I received my BS Degree  in Elementary  Education from East Stroudsburg University. I have elementary certification as well as certification to teach English Language Learners.  In addition, I studied a semester in England where I attended Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham, England.

I live in State College with my husband Kevin. My two daughters, Bethany and Jenna are both adults and busy working in their fields. Bethany is married and lives with Matt who is also in education. Jenna lives in DC. I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling to new and different places. My dream had always been  to visit Australia. In 2006 this dream became a reality and  I was lucky enough to travel along with over 40 5th and 6th graders to Australia with the  People to People Program. I  love working with children, exercising at the gym and bicycling around town.
