Sorry no photos, I hate to have my picture taken!
Welcome students, I am so excited to begin my 21st year of teaching! This is my 17th year in the State College School District. In middle school my favorite subject was Algebra. When an opportunity came to teach it, I jumped at the chance. I love to learn and hope to instill the love of learning in my students. I received my undergraduate degrees from Indiana University of PA. I have teaching certificates in Biology, General Science and Math. I also received a Masters degree in Special Education from Edinboro University of PA and working toward a second Masters in Educational Technology.
Before moving to State College, my husband and I lived in Mechanicsburg. There I taught both Math and Science for three years at a private school. We wanted to be closer to our families and State College was the perfect spot. I have two sons, Hunter and Tanner. Hunter is a sophomore at Juniata College, while Tanner is in 9th grade at State High. I spend most of my free time with my boys; however I can be spotted searching for frogs on a local stream every now and then! I love to canoe and camp during the summer months, but in the winter I try to finish my sewing projects!
