At the May 4, 2009 Board Meeting the board approved Phase I of the Master Plan as recommended by the Citizens Advisory Committee for Facilities. District Wide Master Plan Phase I recommendation
Phase 1 includes:
-Addition to Gray's Woods Elementary School
-Consolidate the Boalsburg and Panorama Village Elementary schools in a new elementary school at the Panorama Village site
-Replace the current Ferguson Township Elementary School through a combination Renovation/New Construction project
The committee further recommended that planning begin on all projects simultaneously, with ground breaking targeted for the summer of 2010, and design to include the following objectives:
-Maintain the existing Panorama Village Elementary School
-Phase the Ferguson Project to maintain the students on site
ARCHITECTURAL FIRM
At the June 8, 2009 Board meeting, the Board approved the selection of SchraderGroup as the architect for Phase I of the District Wide Facilities Master Plan. Contract Memo
On May 4, 2009, Ed Poprik presented the Citizens Advisory Committee for Facilities recommendations on the selection of an architectural firm. The board approved the recommendations. Those documents are available here:

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FIRM
At the May 18, 2009 Board Meeting, Ed Poprik presented recommendations from the CAC for Facilities on hiring a Construction Management firm. The recommendations were approved by the board. Those documents are available here: Short list of firms Request for Proposal Interviews of Construction Management firms were held June 18 at 6 p.m. in the board room.
At the June 22, 2009 Board meeting the board approved construction management firm Alexander Construction for Phase I of the DWFMP. The board approved the Construction Manager Contract with Alexander Building Construction on July 13, 2009.
On June 14, 2010 Ground Breaking Ceremonies were held for both the Ferguson Township and Mount Nittany Elementary school projects. Construction began the next day.
