                                                                        GRADUATING CLASS OF 2021



    Subject: Class of 2021 End-of-year Celebrations

     

    Dear Graduating Seniors, Parents and Guardians:

    As we get closer to the end of the year, we’d like to provide you with some information on how we will be celebrating the State High Class of 2021. Although things may look different than some previous years due to COVID-19, we are planning some memorable in-person events to honor our students. 

      

    Please find important information and dates regarding these events below:

     

    • May 22: Senior Prom at Memorial Field from 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. An email will be sent from the Senior Senate giving more information. (Rain date is May 23)
      • Formal attire is encouraged for the prom
    • May 28: Last day of school for seniors. Regular school time of 8:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
    • June 1: Virtual senior awards ceremony released at noon.
    • June 4: Graduation rehearsal at Memorial Field from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
      • All seniors are required to attend the rehearsal and transportation will be available through the school. Buses will leave from the rear of the high school at 8:15 a.m., and return immediately following the rehearsal. 
      • Honor cords will be distributed during graduation rehearsal. 
      • Commencement tickets will be distributed during graduation rehearsal. Any tickets not picked up at that time can be obtained at the ticket booth near the parklet (Northeast Corner of the stadium) on Commencement Day.
    • June 5: Commencement at Memorial Field
      • Two tickets per student will be provided and a ticket will be required for admittance.
      • 11 a.m. musical prelude starts and the ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m and ends at 2 p.m.
      • Commencement will be livestreamed for people unable to attend in person
      • Rain date for commencement is June 6 at Memorial Field
      • All seniors are expected to arrive at 10 a.m. on commencement day
      • Formal attire is required beneath graduation gowns. 

     

    Graduation from high school is a time of celebration for your entire family and we are all looking forward to these wonderful events. Thank you for your support, and congratulations to the Class of 2021!
