Student Teacher Placement Requests

The State College Area School District has a strong student teacher mentorship program and is proud to support the next generation of educators as they learn alongside our outstanding faculty. 

All student teacher, intern, practicum, and field experience placement requests must be submitted by the university supervisor using the form below.  Requests submitted by individual students will not be reviewed.

Affiliation Agreement

Please note that our district requires an affiliation agreement with the sending institution.  The approval process for this agreement may take several months, so please plan accordingly when submitting your request.  To check whether you have a current affiliation agreement, click here to see if your organization is listed.

 

Placement Timeline for the 2026-2027 School Year

Submission deadlines:

  • Fall 2026 placements:  Requests due by May 15, 2026
  • Spring 2027 placements:  Requests due by October 15, 2026

Requests submitted after these deadlines may be reviewed on a space-available basis and cannot be guaranteed.  All placements are subject to district capacity, mentor availability, and program needs.
