The State College Area School District has received one of the Best Communities for Music Education in America designations from the National Association of Music Merchants the following years: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
