V.I.P.S Tutoring Center
Who: We offer FREE tutoring for students in grades K-12 attending a SCASD school. Tutors volunteer their time and are typically Penn State students from the College of Education, Schreyer Honors College, and various PSU-affiliated clubs and organizations (such as the Engineering Graduate Student Council, Penn State Math Club, IMAC, and various Greek organizations).
What: We offer tutoring services in all levels of mathematics, social studies, science, English, world language (German, Spanish, Latin, French, and Chinese), English as a Second Language, and various electives.
Where: The V.I.P.S Tutoring Center is located in the State College Area High School Cafeteria. Parents of students in K-8 grade are responsible for dropping off and picking up their children.
When: The tutoring center is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 p.m. We schedule one-hour sessions during these times.
Please note: The V.I.P.S Tutoring Center is not a drop-in service. We are looking for tutors and students to commit to one-hour weekly sessions.
