Volunteers/Donations
Community Volunteers and Donations
We have had many members of the SCASD community reaching out asking about ways that they can help support SCASD students and families in need. We greatly appreciate the generosity of our community and want to share some ways that you can help.
Three ways you can help SCASD students and families are by using the Target Registry or making monetary donations directly to the Helping Hands Pantry or to the SCASD Foundation Mental Health Matters Fund.
Thank you for your consideration and please feel free to share this form as you see fit. If you have questions or suggestions, please reach out to us.
Donations from the Target Registry
FACE created a Target Registry to create an easy, streamlined process for those who want to donate supplies and materials. Please note this is not the only way to donate items, but an option.
Once in the buying process, you may choose to ship the items to 240 Villa Crest Drive State College, Pa 16801. This will be sent directly to our office, where we keep the donated items in the pantry.
Helping Hands Pantry
Monetary donations will be used for hygiene items, household products, school supplies, and other house and apartment items. Checks may be made out to SCASD Student Services and make sure to include "Helping Hands Pantry" in the memo line of your check.
Donate to the SCASD Education Foundation
In partnership with the SCASD Education Foundation, emergency funds for local families will be collected through the existing Mental Health Matters Fund, then distributed through the District following a needs assessment. Donations will be used for expanded mental health support, basic needs, and other needs unique to this situation.
Give online by selecting the Mental Health Matters Fund from the “Select Campaign” dropdown, or by mailing a check to:
