Payments & Account Management

Breakfast is available for all students free of charge for the 2023-24 school year. Families are responsible for paying for their students' lunches unless they apply for and are approved for free school meals. Reference our School Lunch Price List for a breakdown of costs.

Payment to Accounts

Middle School, High School, or Delta students can present cash or checks to a cafeteria cashier for the purpose of depositing the full amount into the student's cafeteria account without fees. Payments for secondary students can also be made through MySchoolBucks or by mailing a check as described below.

Payments to elementary school accounts must be made through MySchoolBucks or by mailing a check to the Food Services office only. Payments are not accepted in our elementary schools.

Make the checks payable to SCASD FSD and include the following information in the correspondence:
  • The name of student(s) to whom the payment is to be credited.
  • The school that each student attends.
  • If the check is for more than one student, the amount that is to be credited to each child's account.
  • If not included on the check, your name and phone number.

Mail account payments to:

SCASD Food Service Department
653 Westerly Parkway
State College, PA  16801

Payments will be credited to students' accounts within 1 workday of receipt. Students will never be denied a meal for lack of funds, but à la carte (extra) food purchases require that an account balance is available. Please monitor your child's account balance at MySchoolBucks and send payments in a timely manner if you want your student to be able to purchase extra food items. (There is no fee to monitor account balances or to receive low balance alerts from MySchoolBucks.)

The State College Area School District will assess a $35.00 fee for all checks returned by the bank.

The State College Area School District's Food Service Department is pleased to provide a convenient, easy, and secure online service to help manage school cafeteria accounts. From the MySchoolBucks web page, you can:

  • Deposit money into your child's school meal account
  • View your child's account balance
  • View a 90-day history of your child's purchases and payments
  • Request automatic email notification when your child's account balance is low
  • Transfer funds between children's accounts
Important Things to Know:

  • You will need your child's student ID number to create an account. Student numbers can be found in PowerSchool Parent. If you need help finding a number, please contact the Food Services office.
  • If you have more than one child in the district, you can handle all online prepayments from the same online account.  It is also possible for multiple parents/guardians to have separate accounts for the same student(s).
  • Please allow up to one day for payments to be applied to your child's account.
  • MySchoolBucks charges a processing fee of $3.25 per deposit transaction. Parents placing money into multiple meal accounts will only be assessed the $3.25 fee once. The State College Area School District does not profit from this fee.

It is not necessary to make an online payment to take advantage of the other features of this website. There is no fee for requesting automatic email notification of your child's account balance or to view your child's balance or account transactions.
