When To Keep Your Child Home

When deciding whether to send your child to school, please keep them home if they have any of the below symptoms:  

  • Fever (100.0 or higher) or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache (accompanied by another symptom on the list) 
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Your child may return to school with improvement of symptoms and be free of fever, vomiting, or diarrhea for 24 hours without the use of medication.
