Weather-Related Employee Procedures

MORNING SCHOOL DELAYS

Administrators:

  • One hour less than the duration of delay.

Faculty: 

  • If there is a 2-hour delay, then report two hours later than the normal time. If there is a 3-hour delay, then report three hours later than the normal time.

Support Staff:

  • Paraprofessionals & CEEL AM Program, same as faculty.

  • Office Staff, one hour less than duration of delay.

  • Physical Plant, Food Service, and Transportation staff will receive instructions from their respective supervisors.

EARLY DISMISSAL

Administrators:

  • Pending weather conditions, remain in school until the normal conclusion of the work day. 

  • The Superintendent's office will communicate should offices close early.

Faculty:

  • May depart the building after all buses have departed with students.

  • Principals will request volunteers to remain in school in case any buses return with students.

Support Staff:

  • Paraprofessionals, may depart building after all buses have departed with students.

  • CEEL PM Program, cancelled.

  • Office Staff, same as administrators.

    Pending weather conditions, remain in school until the normal conclusion of the work day.

CANCELLATION

Administrators:

  • If District and school offices remain open:

       Report to the office.

       If you do not come in, then cover with vacation time.

  • If severe weather occurs, offices will be closed and administrators will not report to work.  In this extreme situation, those employees are not charged vacation time.

Faculty:

  • The day will be rescheduled.

Support Staff:

  • Paraprofessionals & CEEL, the day will be rescheduled.

  • Office staff, same as administrators.

  • Physical Plant, Food Service, and Transportation staff will receive instructions from their respective supervisors.
