One-to-One Technology

The State College Area School District has a One-to-One Technology initiative in place which allows all students to have access to a device. This initiative complements the classroom environment by providing options for teachers to enhance lessons and activities with online content and experiences to increase the classroom toolkit. The district provides devices for One-to-One students to use from Kindergarten through graduation. Along with the One-to-One student devices, SCASD provides and maintains special-use laptop carts, library and other shared-use computers as well as Technology, Engineering, and Business education labs throughout the district.

Students in kindergarten through twelfth grade at SCASD have access to Chromebooks. Students are able to utilize these devices in the classroom in order to access a variety of age-appropriate educational sites and information.
