This is my 20th year working for SCASD;  16 years at the Delta Program in Learning Support.  Every year we are presented with a wide variety of student needs and challenges.  It is fun to watch our students grow and mature... to become productive young adults.  The size of our program allows us to be more nurturing and accepting of differences.  Delta students have more responsibilities and freedoms than in the usual high school setting.  It is truly a community of students, staff and parents.

Since arriving at Delta, I have been trained in CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention);  trained in SAP (Student Assistance Program), am the chair of the Delta SAP team, and serve on the state board of PASAP; and coordinate intramurals at Delta.  For State College Area School District I work for several scholastic teams including: 7th, 8th, and 9th grade basketball;  boys lacrosse;  and girls lacrosse.  I also help with elementary intramurals;  both volleyball and track.

Graduated with a BS from Penn State University in Art Education in 1972.  My hobbies are athletics... playing in several local volleyball leagues and tournaments, racquetball, softball, and biking to name a few.  Recently started to focus on some photography interests.  My wife, Dannette, is a retired SCASD elementary teacher.  Both of our children, Tara and Matthew, are graduates of State High and Penn State University.
