Social Media Toolkit: An IntroductionConversations in social media are a dialogue, an opportunity to listen, share, collaborate with, respond to, and learn from our colleagues and communities. In the State College Area School District, we recognize the importance of participating in these conversations. This Toolkit supports anyone acting in an official capacity with the State College Area School District as they engage in digital media conversations for official, professional and personal use. This guide will continue to evolve, and should be referenced periodically by those who use social media on behalf of the school district. SCASD will continue to monitor our strategies and best practices for using social media tools. There are two main sections to this site: "Do I need to apply to use Social Media?" and "General Guidelines and Policies". Also included in this site is information for "Requesting to have a web page Blocked or Allowed."Before using social media in your official SCASD capacity, you should familiarize yourself with the main sections of this toolkit.
