Hello!

 My name is Matt Burns and I am now a third grade teacher here at Easterly Parkway. This year I am really excited to be working with your children and exploring reading, math, science, social studies, and writing! I love the classroom and I can't wait to work with you and your child to make this year great.

 Before going back to school for education I was a psychology major and spent three years working with students who have special needs. I fell in love with the classroom and decided it was time for a life change and I haven't looked back! My previous experiences has given me some great additional insight in the classroom. 

 I'm humbled that I have the opportunity to help each student explore who they are as a learner and a person and walk with them on their journey! In my free time I love to run and be outdoors. I enjoy military history and love to read about the topic. Additionally, I love to coach intramural sports.
