All competition math programs at MNMS (Math League, Math Madness, or Mathcounts) have begun, so if you still have interest in joining, please email the coach directly!

Math League: This is the official MNMS site dedicated to Math League!  Explore below and the tabs on the left for more information. The official 2020-2021 IMLEM season will not begin until December 16, as the league is still working out details for how to transform everything into an online environment.

Practices are from 4:00 to 4:45 Wednesday afternoons via Google Meet.  The kickoff practice will be December 16!  All are welcome (just make sure to fill out the interest form above).

Math Madness: Math Madness is a casual and informal competition program.  Season starts on October 14.  We will compete in weekly online competitions through aretelabs.com (typically on Wednesdays from 4:10 - 4:40).  If you sign up for the club, you will receive weekly emails from Coach Sjoberg regarding competition format, times, and sometimes Google Meet Links.

Mathcounts: Mathcounts is a club for our most serious and dedicated mathletes.  Each year, we work hard to advance to the state and even to the national competition.  We are able to bring 15 students to our first competition, but may have more than that at initial practices.  If you join Mathcounts, you should expect to do extra competition math independently for at least one hour per night as well as attend practices via Google Meet on Friday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 beginning December 11 through mid-March .  It’s a lot of work, but an absolutely amazing experience!  This year, the chapter and state competitions will be held online, so Mathcounts is setting up online practice competitions for competitors to get used to the format.  To try out a practice competition, register for MNMS using this link.  You can also check out the official Mathcounts website to learn more about this program. The MNMS Mathcounts website is a private site only shared with official team members, so if you make the team, expect access in December.
