1. When is the first day of school?

 

Grades 1 to 5 first day is September 1.  Kindergarten parents will bring their child for an hour orientation on September 1 (information will be provided by the Kindergarten teachers) and their students' first full day of school will be September 2.

 

 2. How do I find out who my child's teacher(s) will be?

 

This information will be available through Parent Portal beginning at 8 a.m. on August 24.

 

3. Where can I find my child's school bus information?

 

Parents can find their students' busing information through the online parent portal as of August 15.  All other transportation information can be found under Services on SCASD home page.

 

4. What school supplies will my child need?

 

The PTO provides the basic supplies needed.  Any additional supplies will either be on the teacher's website or sent to you though an e-mail/letter.

 

5. Are back-to-school orientations scheduled? If so, when?

 

Back-to-School Nights are September 15 for grades K-2 and September 16 for grades 3 - 5 from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. in the MPR room.

 

6. How do I apply for reduced price or free school lunches?
