Invitations: Full-time State High and Delta High students in the second semster of their sophomore and junior years who have maintained a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.75 will have an invitation to apply to NHS mailed to their primary address in mid-February. If you believe you meet this criteria, but did not receive an invitation, please email jls66@scasd.org.
Selection time-line: Applications are typically due in the second week of March, with no exceptions or extensions for any reason. Selection is based on a rubric that is scored by a faculty council. Applicants are informed of the decisions in mid-April and induction is held in late April or May.
The NHS Peer Tutoring Center is now open. Students can receive tutoring in a subject of their chosing, SAT prep, or they can partcipate in group tutoring sessions to complete homework and learn studying skills.
