    Hello!   Dan

It's an honor to have recently joined the staff here at Delta Middle Level where real learning happens in cooperation with faculty, students, and parents. I will be serving as a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2016-2017 school year.

Originally from Harrison City, Pennsylvania (southeast of Pittsburgh), I attended college at Penn State and just graduated in May 2016 with a B.S. in Secondary Math Education. I think I was destined to end up living in State College and be a part of the community because I come from a Penn State family. My parents met during their freshman year at Penn State, and all of my three siblings attended Penn State. I began my post college life this summer teaching an Algebra II and a Trigonometry course at Penn State for the Upward Bound Math and Science Program for high school students from low income schools.

Although I thoroughly enjoy thinking about math and solving logic puzzles, I have other interests as well. I love to read historical nonfiction books, specifically biographies. A few of my favorites include The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom and Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose. Additionally, I love to be active and play recreational sports. I would play ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and soccer all day long if I was given the opportunity. Most of all, I am passionate about running. I have participated in the Nittany Valley Half Marathon here in town every year since 2012. I'll be doing it again in December and think that this race or any other race like a 5k is a very good, measurable and achievable goal to work towards now or in the future, just saying!

I'm looking forward to a great year with Delta Middle Level getting to know all of the wonderful students and seeing them accomplish so much. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to contact me more

    Have a nice day,

    Dan
