• Welcome to Kindergarten!  We are so excited to have you in our class!  This is going to be a wonderful year filled with new friends, exploration, learning and growing together.

    Teachers in Room 24
    Mrs. Jackie Lintal
I am thrilled to be joining the Kindergarten Team at Gray's Woods.  This will be my 18th year teaching and my first year teaching kindergarten.  I've been both a classroom teacher and an elementary Reading Specialist.  I will be at Kindergarten Orientation on Monday, August 26th but then I will be starting the school year in the Bellefonte School District until they find my replacement.  Ms. Alyssa May will be the guest teacher in room 24 through the week of October 7th, unless I am released earlier.  However, I will be around Gray's Wood as much as possible.  I will be picking up my daughters every day and will be meeting with Ms. May and the other Kindergarten Team members weekly to see how everything is going and to make the transition as smooth as possible.  I am really excited to have the opportunity to get to know your children!

When not at school, you can find me enjoying time with my family. I am blessed to have two daughters who are at Gray's Woods, Hayden (4th grade) and Ryleigh (2nd grade) and my son Brady will be joining us next year.  My husband, Matt, works at the High School and on Friday nights in the fall you'll find us cheering on the State College Football Team and my husband, who is the head coach. Family is the most important thing to me and you'll often find us together playing sports, watching State College and PSU games, having movie nights, cooking and just being outside together.

    Mrs. Amy Evanego
Mrs. Evanego is excited to start her second year as a Paraprofessional in Room 24. She’s been a Gray’s Woods mom since 2012 with sons Ryan (7th grade) and Zach (4th grade). When not driving kids to baseball, basketball, or flag football practice, she loves watching the skies with her meteorologist husband, Craig, and snuggling with the family’s cockapoo, Baxter.

Snack & Water Bottles: We have snack every day with morning recess.  We ask that kids bring their own individual snacks (not candy) each day.  We know there will probably be days when snacks are forgotten, so we are asking for donations like a large box of Goldfish crackers, pretzels, or Animal Crackers to be shared.  Water bottles are allowed in the room and can be kept in student cubbies.

    Volunteers:
-Starting in mid-September we will beginning having Mystery Readers come into our class.  We won't tell the kids who is coming, but will have you share a few clues about your child for us to guess who the our Mystery Reader is.  *You don't need to have clearances to be a guest reader*
-We will also be having volunteers come into help with special events, fields trips, field day, etc. throughout the year.  You will need your volunteer clearances for this and they do take some time to get back.  Here is the district link that will tell you everything you need to do to be an approved volunteer (https://www.scasd.org/Page/18801)
-We are also looking for volunteers who would be willing to help out with prepping materials at home like cutting out lamination.  Please let me know if you are interested.
